Sustainable Development Committee

Taiwan Paiho has established a Sustainable Development Committee, which operates under the Board of Directors. This committee is comprised of senior managers and four independent directors. Regular reports are provided to the Board of Directors, with the President serving as the convener and Chief Executive Officer. The committee is organized into five working groups: Sustainable Development, Products and Services, Social Engagement, Employee Care, and Corporate Governance. Additionally, an executive office is responsible for planning and implementing project-related affairs and coordinating relevant business activities across departments.

 

Each working group operates in alignment with the Company’s sustainability strategy and designated functions, conducting due diligence to identify the impacts of sustainability issues and stakeholder concerns. The Sustainable Development Committee meets at least once a year and, on an ad hoc basis, reports to the Board of Directors on the implementation of sustainability policies, strategies, and targets, as well as progress against the annual work plan. In 2024, the committee convened twice, with 100% attendance by all members. In addition, it reported quarterly to the Board on greenhouse gas inventory and verification, business integrity, intellectual property management, the development and review of sustainability goals, and the key contents and outcomes of the 2024 Sustainability Report. The committee also presented the proposed 2025 annual work plan and targets.
